Custom Con 26!

Once again another Custom Con has past! For those of you not familiar with Custom Con imagine a convention showing off nothing but custom action figures as if they are future lines fro toy companies. Hosted by Joe Acevedo CustomCon 26 had some very good pieces on display. So check it out! Good job to all!

Also check out Plastic Cultures Studios entries in CustomCon 7 and CustomCon 23 while you are at it! Here's to entering the Con again very soon!

Back and Alive!

Wow! It has been almost a year since I last posted on here. Plastic Culture Studios has changed so much and my direction for sharing my imaginations have too. During this past year I have been working on about 1,000 projects and have adapted into a new direction where I am not working on that number of projects at once. So I haven’t been sitting around doing nothing.

Pocket Heroes has evolved into Pocket Universe which will showcase all my original comic heroes in the 3 and ¾ inch scale. For awhile I felt like I was being too repetitive with characters and designs so I took some time to evaluate what I was doing with characters and felt in easier to start over from ground zero. This will not only be exciting but like something hardy seen. This new energy was given in part my the flood of news from this years Comic Con and what I see as a lack of original custom action figure designs online. As an artists you must constantly try to challenge yourself, or it isn’t fun to do the same thing over and over again. Keep a look for some early work in progress stuff later this coming week.

I would like to thank the hard work at Slayer Design Studios (formally Trigate Creations), who’s parts and pieces I am and will be using as this and other projects continue. If you haven’t been to this site, do so they have the largest selection of unique and high quality custom parts on the net.

That is a for now but I promise to post more than I have in the last year!
